Our System
We use industry standard equipment. Our system has been built with redundancy in mind. In the 10+ years of doing this we have never needed to replace any failed component during a show. Our system can be broken into two if the need should arise for us to be in two places at once!
Mixing Consoles
Behringer XENYX 1832FX - 18-Input 3/2-Bus Mixer with XENYX Mic Preamps, British EQs, 24-Bit Multi-FX Processor
Behringer VMX 1000 - 7 Channel Rack-Mount DJ Mixer with BPM Counter
Sound Processing
Behringer CX2310 Electronic Cross-Over - Splits Low (bass) from the audio feed, and sends it to only the subs. Provides a clean sound.
Behringer 9024 Multi-Band Compressor/Limiter - This is basically 6 compressors in one. It basically normalizes everything so the sound level stays the same no matter what we play.
Amplification
QSC RMX 1450 - We have 4 of these amplifiers which are capable of 1450 watts of power bridged at 4 ohms. We use multiple amplifiers to spread the work load, so we do not over-load a single amplifier.
Speakers
Peavey SP2 - We have 4 of these speakers (Single 15" black widow woofer with dynamic horn).
Cerwin Vega Earthquake Jr - We have 2 of these (Single 18" subwoofer in each box).
Seismic Audio Stage Monitors - 1 pair of Single 10" Woofer with Dynamic Horn.
Audio Playback
We use laptops equipped with 200Gb external hard drives. We have over 20,000+ songs on these drives. Using a digital format provides a skip free night and the sound quality is just as good as cd's! We can find & play any song in our archive, in seconds. No more digging in boxes looking for a CD or searching a huge "playbook" for your song. Just ask us and we'll type it in the search.
Microphones
Shure U4S - Our wireless mic. Outstanding sound quality & range.
Shure SM 58 - We have three of these.
Shure Beta 57A - We have two of these microphones. These microphones have a very tight pattern to help eliminate feedback. Works really well in small rooms.
